Support the Lions to Men Weekend – Only 11 places left!

The Lions Boys to Men Weekend will take place at the Bloublommetjies Bio-Diverse Farm in Wellington from Friday, 16th February 2018 to 18th February 2018.

There is great excitement this year as two Boys to Men Leaders are flying in to Cape Town (at their own expense) to attend the weekend and to support the great work that DC Charles Flanagan does at these weekends.

The weekend can only accommodate 15 boys and four of these places have already been reserved so if your Club would like to sponsor a boy please contact DC Charlie as soon as possible.

So what is the Global Action Team (GAT) all about?

Watch this short video which explains the implementation of GAT and how we all work together. It won’t take up too much of your time but explains the process, is without narration and is powerful in its own right!

The three colours used reflect the three components of GAT:

Blue: Leadership (GLT)

Yellow: Membership (GMT)

Red: Service (GST)

In the video these colours are regularly blended together to illustrate the inter-connectivity between the three roles.

Lions Club of Milnerton: Protecting our Environment

Fun at Communicare’s Water Conservation Day! Immediate Past President Alan Abramsohn together with Lions Isabel Ormandy and Linda Engelbrecht assisted as the children of Drommedaris were taught interactively how to save water as well as treated to lots of activities, all water saving related, including “Uncle Alan’s” famous games!  Even Father Xmas explained the seriousness of saving water.  The Lions Club of Milnerton also donated 100 water saving devices which can be fitted into toilet cisterns to reduce the amount of water per flush to the residents of Drommedaries.

A good day was had by all.
